Volunteer Training Session
TBA
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Many of you remember Brady who
came into GRR’s care in September 2012. He
stole the hearts of everyone: the hotline volunteer who took the desperate
owner’s call, the intake volunteers who dropped everything to pull him out of
the mud and muck, the medical team who worked countless hours to restore his
health, the foster family who diligently adhered to his rehab schedule
(sometimes at 2:00 in morning), the matchmakers who knew he needed a special
forever family, and that special forever family who loved him unconditionally.

We microchip dogs at our dog events. Foster dogs are microchipped at no charge. Adopted GRR dogs at $25, and a non-GRR dog for $30. Compare these prices to your vet and they can't be beat. Due to our costs, additional donations are greatly appreciated. Our board member, Emily, will be happy to meet you at her home in the Arboretum area. Email her to schedule a time.
If you are in the Schertz, San Antonio, New Braunfels area contact Tracy to microchip your dog.
Would you be willing to donate a bit of your
free time to help Gold Ribbon Rescue?
Can you spare 5-8 hours every other month? Hotline volunteers return phone calls received on the hotline.
Can you spare 3-5 hours a month? Home visitors spend about an hour with prospective adoptive homes helping them learn to care for their new golden and helping them find the most perfect dog.
Can you spare 2 hours a month? Interviewers spend about an hour with each adoption applicant.
Can you spare 1 hour a month? Our transport team helps to bring dogs in from owners or shelters to their foster homes or to the vet.
We also have areas of need for anyone willing
and able to contribute more time each month - matching dogs to homes, intake
of dogs, growth opportunities to take on coordinator roles - all of which can
ask 20+ hours each month.
As a non-profit, non-paid all-volunteer organization, we have many different
positions available, from hands on with the dogs, transport, fostering,
organizing files, special events coordination, hotline coverage, interviewing
applicants, home visits, grant writing, fund raising, ... the list is endless.
Any area that you think can help with - we can find a place for you!
It's fun, easy and all training is provided.
