Subject: 3 great iPhotos of our newest family member
Just wanted to give you an update and say thank you. We are loving
our new dog. We decided to call her "Goldie" as Samantha seemed to be
too many syllables.
She is really a good fit for our family. A sweet and smart dog. As you can
tell from the pictures,
Sean is very proud and loves having her. We truly appreciate your time and
effort.
Hope to meet you sometime at a GRR event!
Just wanted to let you know that
everything is going SUPER with sweet, little
Faith. She's already blending in
nicely:-) Stitch is just beginning to give her some quiet time. He wants to
rumble and tumble with her constantly. She's totally game for all his
nonsense and is quite the sparring partner for him. I've dubbed her the
"Artful Dodger." She leads Stitch on a merry chase around the yard zigging
and zagging, darting and dodging, maneuvering easily at warp speed between
bushes and close set trees leaving Stitch in the dust. They will run and
chase for 10 minutes straight until the game wears them both out and they
collapse in a heap at my feet. She is a darling! What fun for Stitch and all
of us. Thanks for helping make this Christmas extra special.
Faith has not been finishing her
feedings so in that way I know she's still settling in. I have to monitor or
Stitch will gladly help her get full credit for cleaning her plate. Faith has
become very playful with the cats (vs. when you brought her last Sunday and
she didn't make a move). I use a sharp voice and she comes right back to me.
Of course she only wants to play with her new feline family, but the cats have
decided she'll have to earn their trust before they dally overly long in close
proximity. Faith's crate is in our family room (where we visited last week)
and she has put herself willingly into the crate on several occasions. Stitch
lays right down beside her so I made a quilt bed for him next to the crate.
She's slept peacefully through the night on Friday and Saturday ("Silent
Night, Holy Night- All is calm, All is bright"), so I think everything is A-OK
in that department.
No bathroom accidents so far but I'm
on my toes.
All in all, this new beginning for
all of us is going very well.
Thanks for being part of the solution
to the pet overpopulation problem so amazing dogs like sweet little Faith get
a 2nd chance for happy endings to their life stories. You and volunteers
like you are an inspiration to the rest of us. Keep on making a difference.
