Addy

Hide the bleu cheese dressing and anything else on the countertops! She may be small, but Addy will help herself to any goodies that are left out… especially if they smell as bad, er… good, as bleu cheese!
It seems that Addy was more than likely an outside dog, and somehow she landed in the clink… animal shelter. When she came into GRR care, she was nervous and fearful, and seemed distrustful of people. She would barely look at anyone, and she was easily startled by loud noises.
It’s amazing what a couple of weeks in a loving foster home have done for her. She has been doing so well in her crate that she will now be allowed to roam free for short periods of time. She’s not nearly as nervous now, and she’ll come over and sit down nicely and wait politely to go for a walk. She pulls a little on the leash, but has calmed down considerably.
Addy’s personality is really starting to shine through. She can be bouncy and silly like a puppy, or happy and calm with children. She will retrieve a ball inside the house, and then she’ll prance around with it. She particularly loves her orca stuffed toy! Occasionally, she gets confused about the difference between her toys and shoes. She’s a girl all right… she likes shoes!
This little gal is spunky too. When given the chance to go swimming, she dove right in with no hesitation. She can be so playful. Now that she’s feeling more comfortable with people, she’ll roll over and act like a wiggle worm… a typical puppy!
Since she’s calm and small, she would do just fine with young children. She is so light on her feet that when she jumps up it is very soft. She’s learning how to play nice with other dogs, and is learning how to share. Every day, she just gets better and better!
