Snowy Zoe

“A PERFECT LADY!”
That’s what Snowy Zoe’s foster mom says—and it’s true! You can just imagine this dainty little redhead in white gloves and pearls, hostessing a high-society party (and then changing into her designer tracksuit and pelting around the block—she adores exercise. She’s nothing if not well-rounded.). She came to us from a family who loved her dearly—but life changes meant that they had to make the very difficult decision to find a new home for Zoe. Her GRR name is “Snowy Zoe” – in deference to her age, and also to help tell her apart from her foster sister, also named Zoe.
More details:
Snowy Zoe is an excellent houseguest. She loves attention, but doesn’t overwhelm us with her desire for it. She’s mellow and loving. We can leave her alone in the house with our own Zoe; when we come back, we find everything exactly as we left it, except, of course, for a few dog toys in different locations. She doesn’t jump, but she simply WIGGLES with delight when we come into the room!
When she sees the leash come out, she just springs to life and wiggles all over. That must have been her favorite thing in her previous life. Because it is truly her favorite part of our day here! She does pull some at first, because she is SO happy to be out and about, getting fresh air and seeing the sights. But, after about a block, she settles down and walks nicely. She definitely thinks walks are GREAT!
She’s a fabulous sleeper; goes straight to her bed and sleeps a good 8 hours uninterrupted. Many nights she will be in her bed before we go to ours! She loves to be stroked, and although I haven't brushed her much, she's fine with what I have done. Seems to adore the attention!
For 9 years old, Snowy Zoe has wonderful energy. Not too much, but not too little—she’s no couch potato. She can leap around the yard like a gazelle! She has settled into our house and routine so easily that I feel she would have no trouble adapting to anyone. She just loves to be a part of our days. I hope that prospective families don’t pass her up in favor of a younger dog, because she’s a great, easygoing, ladylike, well-behaved Golden who will bring so much to her new home. She’s mellow and sweet and simply a JOY. If I could rename her, that would be my choice of names for her!
