Aspen

Some people might remember when my two sisters, Bristol and Cypress, and I arrived into GRR’s care in September 2009.  We were tiny and frightened when we got to our foster home, but I’m happy to report that we’ve grown into stunning young ladies.  My sisters were adopted by great families. My foster family couldn’t resist my sweet personality and short tail, so they adopted me.

I have two older GRR siblings, Sassy and Rusty, and the newest GRR addition, Krispy, aka Kritter Bear.  We start everyday with a long walk which I love, then we all load up in my dad’s car and head to work with him.  Lots of people come to my dad’s office who love seeing me.  When they walk in, I grab a toy, wag my cute tail, and cry, cry, cry in greeting.  I lavish them with hugs and kisses.  Yep, it’s fun going to work!

As you can see from my pictures, I love water!  We go kayaking and swimming a lot.  I’ve become quite the dock diver and participated in a competition in Houston a couple of months ago.  Would it be bragging to say I took a first place ribbon in one event?  I think that’s pretty cool for a little girl like me.

We went to Tennessee last year and hiked the Appalachian Trail.  I loved exploring and swimming in the streams.  Talk about fun.  Then we went to Colorado in July, and I hiked all over the mountains.  Great swimming there, too!

That’s about it for now.   Just wanted to let everyone know that the tiny puppy from San Antonio is loving life!  Thanks, GRR, for bringing me into your care. I’m a happy girl (and so are my parents!)  They can’t imagine life without me.

Happy 2012!

Love,
Aspen
